We decided at the beginning of the containment to brunch every Saturdays🥐Therefore, this morning we woke up at 10am and Alix went outside to buy fresh fruits at the farmers market. Meanwhile, I made English scones (I wrote the recipe just down the pictures). Sun was out, it was a perfect Saturday morning…

  • 200g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 30g salted butter, cold and cubed
  • 120g Greek yogurt

Gently whisk together all the ingredients. Brush the dough with milk. Bake at 180 d. celsius for 20 minutes. Easy and quick !!

Then, we decided to go down our courtyard to play petanque with a glass of white wine. We listened to music and enjoyed 2 hours of sun. It was so pleasant and nice.

Since we are confined all day long at home, working either on the sofa, table or bed, we don’t really get time to move (meaning walking around, outside). We therefore wanted to move a bit on the courtyard and try something different… Finally, we didn’t play very long but the at least we did something outside.

In the afternoon, we basically did nothing except rest on the couch watching Netflix. Alix made a delicious pecan pie for afternoon tea and I started to cook two baby lobsters🦞with a persillade sauce, fried rice and green asparagus for diner. For the diner recipe, see down below :

I cooked two bowls of Jasmin rice with paprika and parsley, a good amount of fresh green asparagus with sesame seeds and balsamic vinegar, two medium lobsters and a persillade sauce made with few garlic cloves, chopped parsley and salted butter. My tips for this diner to be yummier : put the cooked Jasmin rice in a small pan with salted butter on the oven for 15 minutes (then, you will have a delicious fried and crispy rice) and of course eat it with your favorite red wine🍷
